A Belated Congratulations to Christine and Todd!
I just received a link to our good friends Christine & Todd’s wedding on Offbeat Bride (a great resource for brides who are having nontraditional weddings, and even those who are!).
As mentioned, GO FESTIVE! was at the beautiful event and captured some of the action! Christine and Todd are total pros in the photo booth!
Photo Booths: Past to Present
Did you know the first photo booth appeared on Broadway in NYC? The awesome moment people spend making silly faces and waiting for a memorable photo strip dates all the way back to the roaring 20s. In the late September 1925 a man named Anatol Josepho brought the first photo booth studio over to the U.S. from Russia. When it was first open there were a procession of people all the way around the block waiting for their turn but luckily it was a 24 hour service. Customers would spend 25 cents each to pose in the booth and wait 8 minutes for their photos to process. At the Photomaton Studio, workers wore white smocks and gloves. They took customer’s money, suggested poses, cut the strips into individual photos if necessary and sold extras like frames and color tinting.
Since Photomaton Studio became such a huge sensation, in March 1927 a business consortium headed by Henry Morgenthau Sr., the former United States ambassador to Turkey and a founder of the American Red Cross, paid Mr. Josepho $1 million for the American rights of the photo booth. Soon Josepho became a millionaire for his creative invention of a chemical photo booth.
Even though old chemical booths are steadily being replaced by digital booths, Josepho has created an unforgettable tradition that is still being used today worldwide. Go Festive is a prime example of a company that keeps the photo booth tradition on-going. We offer elegant photo booths that are specifically built for event rentals. Whether the photo booth is rented for a wedding or a birthday party, you are guaranteed a good time.

Busy, Busy October…
GO FESTIVE! was super busy in the month of October. Two of the major events we attended were featured in Mid-Atlantic Events Magazine. If you’re not a subscriber of the magazine, you can read the articles by clicking here. Flip over to pages 31 & 74 to check out the events we participated in. Maybe we will see you at the next event!
Chalk it up!
We got some super fun new photobooth props this week in the form of “chalk bubble” chalk boards.
They are a great addition to our photostrips and let your guests leave you special messages to make the experience all the more personal!
Best of the Main Line with Main Line Today
Last night Go Festive had the pleasure of being part of this amazing party at Drexelbrook. Over 80 exhibitors, who won Best of Awards from Main Line Today, joined us in this celebration to benefit Mommy’s Light, Women’s Resource Center and Home of the Sparrow. Everyone had a great time eating, drinking, and of course taking pictures in the photobooth! The venue was absolutely stunning, and a perfect fit for all of the guests who attended. We are proud to have been a sponsor of this event.
Party Like a Rock Star!
And that is exactly what Go Festive did last night, at The Lofts at Valley Forge! The Lofts hired us to help promote their NEW fully furnished rentals. WMMR’s Jacky Bam Bam was the DJ and live music was provided by Holt 45. The food was awesome and the drinks were flowing. Guests enjoyed our photobooth, and even brought their dogs in for pictures! Residents also competed in a Rock Band competition on our HUGE 21’ foot screen, set up by the pool. The winner was even awarded with an iPad! It was a great night, and a wonderful opportunity to see the new lofts.
