Flipbooks Have Made A Comeback!
Did you know flip books were recognized as one of the earliest forms of what today is referred to as “interactive multimedia”? Flipbooks were first patented in the U.S. on May 16, 1882 by Henry Van Hovenbergh of Elizabeth, New Jersey. Early flip books consisted of simple drawings stacked in sequential stages of movement with a single staple binding. When the pages were flipped, they would create the optical illusion of motion.
Flipbooks were then popularized in the early 1900′s by the Cracker Jack Company who gave them away as free in-pack prizes. Other marketers soon followed suit, including manufacturers of breakfast cereals, bubble gum, cigarettes, automobiles and snack foods. The trend continued strong through the 1960′s. But unfortunately, that trend ended in the 1970′s as new technologies began to take the spotlight.

Flipbooks – as seen on TLC's Four Weddings
It’s a proud honor to announce that flipbooks have been featured on TLC’s “Four Weddings!” “Four Weddings,” is a bridal show that illustrates the step-by-step process that brides deal with to make their day extra special. Flipbooks have always added extra fun to weddings, now it is a privilege to gain national attention! Who would have thought video converted into a flipbook in just two minutes would be such a hit? Well, we did. The interactive nature of flipbooks motivates everyone to let loose because it is such a unique extra that you don’t see at many weddings. The brides on “Four Weddings” raved about how the flipbooks made their wedding unforgettable. We got some super fun new photobooth props this week in the form of “chalk bubble” chalk boards.
They are a great addition to our photostrips and let your guests leave you special messages to make the experience all the more personal!
Flipping Out at the Ballroom at the Ben!
We recently worked with Dana to provide flipbooks at her cousin’s wedding at the beautiful Ballroom at the Ben. Dana acted as the Matron of Honor and gave her cousin LoriAnn and her new husband Bryan one of our flipbooks stations as a wedding gift. Here’s what Dana had to say about our services:

A Hit with PTO Members
The air was filled with the scent of warm chocolate chip cookies and the chatter of enthusiastic parents and teachers at the PTO Expo held on March 23rd at The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center. Over 450 school representatives came through the expo looking for new, fun, and effective ways to raise money for their schools!!! GO FESTIVE! and numerous other vendors shared ideas about how the school representatives can both fundraise and add fun activities to their special events. We are hoping to be a part of many of the local schools’ fundraising efforts so the students can enjoy our services as much as their teachers and parents did! You should have heard the squeals and giggles from the photobooth… at least you can see the photos!!!
